THIS IS WHY PEOPLE REMAIN POOR
THIS IS WHY PEOPLE REMAIN POOR..

Last night, my younger sister who had just finished reading a compilation of Archbishop Margret Idahosa's quote began to ask me questions up and down.."lol"
She asked about some of the quotes and I responded quickly because I needed to focus on the task I had at hand..
But she just always had one more question to ask.
This time she didn't ask any question, she just said "those rich people that don't want to help the poor will go to hell."
"Haba!"
I turned to her and asked "how are the rich suppose to help the poor?"
In her 8 year old wisdom she said by giving them money and by giving them food..
I then responded by saying " yes, it's okay to help the poor with those things, but just doing that will make the poor to become poorer."
She looked at me with surprise on her face like "what??"
I began to explain to her that what keeps people poor is their mindset and if the rich give the poor just money, nothing will change.
They will take that money and continue to beg while they stay poor.
I told her that the only solution was for the poor to desire to know and understand how the rich think and how they can imbibe that way of thinking and also take clue from what the rich do and model it.
You see, the rich will remain rich and the poor will remain poor if the poor don't desire knowledge that will set them free.
It's clear in scriptures "my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
It is not the money they need, it is the mindset shift which comes through knowledge.
Your outcome will always be tied to your decision. Thus, you must decide to leverage on the mindset of those that are where you want to be because it applies to everything in life.
Poverty begins from the mind before it materializes physically and so is wealth...
So, helping the poor is not in giving them money, it's in them realizing that they need a shift in their mindset and taking action to make it happen.
Your mindset will regulate your life. Keep working on it.
