I am a fan of spirituality and eastern philosophy e.g., Taoism. I was recently watching a Youtube video from Jason Gregory where he talked about how to get the most from meditation. In it, he talked about the need to begin preparing for your morning meditation as early as the night before. One of his suggestions was to have a ‘digital sunset’. This is where you turn off all digital devices e.g. tv, phone, early in the evening. The reason for this seems to be that you stop stimulating your mind and allow it to prepare for sleep. As I meditate twice per day, I thought I would try it. So, for the past few weeks, I have been switching all digital devices off at least two hours before bed.
