I Didn't Expect To Get Time Management Help Here

Hi – Friends,

πŸ’±πŸ’ΈπŸ’‰πŸ”ͺπŸ’£πŸ”«πŸ’£πŸ’ΉπŸ”ͺ
Today, I want to emphasise that inspiration for improved performance and productivity can come in some unusual forms.

I am a fan of spirituality and eastern philosophy e.g., Taoism.

I was recently watching a Youtube video from Jason Gregory where he talked about how to get the most from meditation.

In it, he talked about the need to begin preparing for your morning meditation as early as the night before.

One of his suggestions was to have a ‘digital sunset’.

This is where you turn off all digital devices e.g. tv, phone, early in the evening.

The reason for this seems to be that you stop stimulating your mind and allow it to prepare for sleep.

As I meditate twice per day, I thought I would try it.

So, for the past few weeks, I have been switching all digital devices off at least two hours before bed.

Also, I have not been switching any digital devices until at least two hours after I get up.

It has improved my mediation but that is not all.

It has also led to improvements in my focus, concentration, and general happiness.

And, I have not missed anything that I was unable to watch, or do since I started practicing the digital sunset.

It is not just this particular idea that I wanted to share with you.

I also wanted to emphasise that you never know when good advice is going to come your way or, what form it will come in so, always be receptive to the wisdom of others,

And, if something resonates with you, no matter how unusual it may sound, give it a try for yourself.

Experiment, experiment, experiment.
