IT'S A MINUS

IT'S A MINUS Writtwn By Michael Chidiebere Ituma At 2:43 AM when I'm supposed to be dozing in bed I'm awake, musing over this thing and feeling so much pity for the people you call loved ones.  . . I'm not concerned because it is my problem nor am I concerned because it is my life. From all indications, the life is legitimately yours and no one has the right to own it, to live it but you.  . . But you see brother. It's a minus for you to want to live your youthfulness to the extreme, exploring this negative thing, and exploring that mischievous behaviour.  . . It is a minus, sister, for you to want to live the full episode of your youthful life digging beyond the limits of the grounds upon which you stand, the grounds that will soon collapse.  . . It is such a minus to decide that all you want to do is smoke your life to disaster. Such a minus to want to live your youthfulness as a chain smoker.  . . It is a minus to decide that all you want to do in life is leap

THE DEVOUT LEADER

Written By Efut Joseph THE DEVOUT LEADER Many pray for the power of gods. More every year. Those prayers sound powerful, sincere, godly, and without ulterior motive. Hidden under such prayer and fervor, however, are ambition, a craving for fame, the desire to be considered a spiritual giant. The person who prays such a prayer may not even know it,but dark motives and desires are in his heart..in your heart. Even as people pray these prayers, they are hollow inside. In the first, despite the power, the hidden man of the heart may remain unchanged. In the latter, that monster is dealt with. Interesting about God. He hears all those requests for power, which fervent young men and women pray(in every generation), and He answers them! Very o

DON'T HELP YET Written By Chinwendu Nneamaka I stood at the junction, waiting to board a tricycle (Keke) to get home. The pressure of the sun had written on my forehead; tiredness, hunger, and eagerness to embrace my bed. After such a long day, I deep sleep and Mum would call my name later to ensure I'm spirit present. . . "Good evening Aunty." The voice came from behind. It was a young man begging for ₦200 to buy bread. According to him, he'd stayed unemployed after graduation because of his condition and he's still hoping to get money to learn a skill. . . I looked at him for a while, running in my head the difference between a man in need and one out to defraud me. I've heard stories of people begging and scamming people, I just wanted to be careful. . . "Where are you from?" I asked. He answered shyly, crouching his head to resist eye contact. Perhaps, he didn't want to beg. I felt pity for him. For a young man to assemble this courage
