WHY YOU OUGHT TO READ

 WHY YOU OUGHT TO READ

Written By Daniel Okafor

Learning is a life long process as education never ends. Education is not limited to the academic value you acquire in a classroom neither does it ends after getting a Bsc nor Msc certifications.

Personal Development which is basically what you do to improve yourself and your prospects in life, is a lifelong education in itself.

When it comes to the matters of personal development, the importance of reading cannot be overemphasized.

To improve yourself, you should constantly read books that spurs you into being more effective and proficient in your daily endeavors, profession and relationship with others.

Books on leadership, business, relationship, spirituality, personal management (to mention just a few) helps you assess your skills and qualities, consider your aims in life and set goals in order to realise and maximise your potential.

Books are like doorways which leads you into the mind of an author. It brings you into his/her experience and knowledge of which must have taken time to accumulate.

Reading exposes you to a wider spectrum of words and ideas. It builds your vocabulary and enhances your view of the world and happenings around you.

Have you noticed that reading a book reduces stress and puts you in a better mood?

That is to say reading can be therapeutic.

Make a commitment to read a book daily.

It's all about growth and transformation.
