You Think You Can Prank Me

Just before the closing hour of the day, a message dropped in my WhatsApp, I unfold it as it reads.

Please, can I get 1k from you I need it for something so urgent, I will return it later. This message was accompanied by the account number.

I copied the account number and did a transfer of 1k to her.

I chatted with her to know if you have gotten the alert, she confirmed it and I was happy that I had solved her predicament.

Some minutes after, a message dropped from her.

I read and was so mad at how some people can over joke sometimes.

In her words, she said, "Thanks a lot. I have received it although it was a prank, it's nice to know I have people that can come through for me".

I smiled and asked when she will refund the 1k as she promised. She said no refund ooh. 

It didn't annoy me, after all, what is 1k?  But something happened that pops this write-up.

I tried to enlighten her in case of next time, in my words I said to her "Don't you think that some people will no longer take you seriously only by what you just displayed?

When something will hook you for real and if no one comes to your aim don't be surprised.

She got fired up and replied with... please, send your account details let me refund you with other things she said which I don't want to share here.

Listen, young people, be mindful of the kind of games you play around people you think you know.

One of these things you called jokes can ruin your chances of getting what you want from these people if not now in the future.

Stop seeing today as the only opportunity you have to stay with people in your circle.

Stop abusing your chances of getting closer to those who directly or indirectly change your life today or in the future.

Learn to understand the people you are following, know their capacities, and don't joke much with them even when they give you that opportunity to be free with them.

The damage might not harm you now but I assure you in years to come, you will seat and regret the chances you missed because of your attitude.

I sent the money to her because she is a student, I wasn't ready to accept the refund but her choice of words might ruin a lot of things for her if she doesn't change it.

Know when you are crossing the line. Be sensitive enough to decode when you are doing wrong things with these people.

I have capacities as friends and I will never try such a kind of joke with them, you know why because I am capacity myself and we don't do things without knowing the impact.

Las las, I never see alert oooh.
