YOU DON'T HAVE NINE LIVES

When I see the life of the youth and the unfortunate ocean of carelessness they swim in, I tend to ponder on what stuff they are made of. I cannot understand how human beings who have blood flowing in them, who still inhabit the space of their mortal containers, who know that this life has no spare, go about their daily activities carelessly.

. 

The life of the youth is indeed one full of adventure, extremities and exuberance, and I understand. But the rate at which they engage in highly obnoxious activities is what sweeps me off my feet. Shall we then reason that being adventurous is bad? That is far from it. In fact, the nature of being adventurous is what a youth in his/her prime is wired with. 

. 

. 

. 

The point here is that the adventure is going way, too far, so much so that it is beginning to become a norm in this present age. It is beginning to make me see that a few years from now, the world will be such a messy place to live in, literally, hell! 

. 

. 

. 

Now, two unmarried youths can live with each other under the same roof, sexually offering themselves to each other as does a married couple. 

. 

. 

. 

Now, young boys and girls within age range of puberty can smoke along the street with their shoulders high in the sky, and nothing, absolutely nothing pricks their conscience.

. 

. 

. 

Now, young people who are supposed to be afraid of doing certain things in public can throw an open party where they immense themselves in alcohol, drugs, and openly romance one another in that same party. What a shame? 

. 

. 

. 

Do I talk of those who fight like there is no tomorrow, like their lives are still in incubation ready to be lived, like they're the creator of their lives? Somebody born by a human being jabs another person with a dagger and that is normal. They don't just care, they don't! 

. 

. 

. 

How do I even reconcile young ladies who go several rounds of sex, conception, and abortions? That particular aspect of adventure gives me goosebumps. Not to think of those who have bastard children counting in their numbers, yet they're still in their parents' houses. 

. 

. 

. 

There are more. So much more that can not be exhausted in just this post. It is heartbreaking. It is discouraging. Moral values have been swept under the carpet. Juvenile delinquency is on the increase by the day. 

And I ask... 

WHERE ARE THE NINE LIVES? 

. 

. 

. 

Dear young person. 

The 'Nine lives' saga is only an idiom. No such thing as Nine lives exists in reality. 

In fact, the only one life you have is ticking... 

But how is it, in which direction is it leading? 

. 

. 

. 

Take time to reason with these things and try to reconcile your life with where you want to be in few years to come. 

The things you do in your prime will definitely come for you in the future. But the question is, of what value are those things? Will you regret them or will they be plausible? Can you be proud to mention to someone that you did such a thing? 

It is catholic truth that the life is yours. It is also true that you can live it the way you wish. Yet it is only one life that you have. 

.

. 

In conclusion, there may be a 'Nine Lives' somewhere. I don't know about that. 

But, 

YOU GET TO LIVE ONLY ONE OF THOSE NINE LIVES. 

Think about it.
