ASIAN'S RICHEST MAN

Zhong Shanshan is currently the richest man in China and Asia.

Zhong Shanshan has beaten the internet czar, Jack Ma to become the richest in China.

Zhong Shanshan didn't become the richest man in China by building technology company like facebook or google or PayPal.

Zhong Shanshan became the richest man in China selling pure water, sorry, I mean bottled water!

And later launched a vaccine company.

Two 'normal' companies, yet China richest

Zhong Shanshan is worth $61.5 bn. Bloomberg says approximately $84bn!

He is rated the seventh richest man in the world. He is richer than Google founders - selling water (..and vaccine).

Zhong Shanshan is relatively unknown in the business circle. He lives a low-key life.

He is called the Lone Wolf. I love that name. No glamour, no glitz, no politicking. Just hardcore value creation and simple lifestyle.

In 2020 alone, he made $70bn.

Zhong Shanshan was still a reporter at age 30.

Zhong Shanshan started his water company in 1996 - 25 years ago.

Zhong Shanshan is 66 years.

Zhong Shanshan started business at 41.

The business lessons from this man are plenty, but I will share these few:

1. Wealth doesn't really come from fantastic ideas, but from ideas that solve normal human problems in a different way.

2. Focus on money-making opportunities not on nice sounding fads. Whether it is technology or not, as long as you can discover a problem faced by many people and provide an entrepreneurial solution, the door of wealth will open, sooner or later.

3. You can grow rich without hobnobing with government or filling up the media space.

4. You can start early you can also start later and still hit your goal.

5. Mastering business skills is key to business success. As a reporter he interviewed over 500 successful businessmen and attributed his business sagacity to them.

6. Don't worry about being the next techpreneur, just create market value in the area that inspires you, tailored to your market.

And more!

Nigeria still has problems of electricity, housing, waste, food, food storage, etc. Each of these is an opportunity for us, rather than a menace to be handled by government.
