Do you care to know why people recieve your message online but they never open nor read it?

Sometime last year, a Leader from the Leadership Tribe I belong to sent me a friend request. With joy on seeing the request i said to myself, I can't just add him to my list of friends I want to be getting his updates and all that too. So I sent him a message but he wasn't interested. I was a bit hurt not until i realized that the mistake was from my own end. 

When you are typing a message to send to someone you haven't chatted with before, please construct it this way:

• Greetings 

• Who you are

• The reason for saying hi

Don't think to yourself,  

 * He should check my bio  

 * We used to be friends in secondary school, that alone should make him happy to see my message 

* He's a student like me,  let me send him

 Hi

... Bla Bla Bla 

Put yourself in his 

Let's say you woke up to the two text below and opened them, which of them will you reply with a friendly attitude?

Text 1:

Good morning. I'm Bola from Rae Movie's group on facebook. I read the post you made on Game of Thrones. It was captivating and can make anybody want to watch the movie again. You won't believe it but I'm downloading the movie because of your post

I know you will check the profile of the person that sent the second text before you say anything.

But Paul I'm a social person. I like to catch cruise, isn't this a long process?
