Your social, economic, political and family background, no doubt, have a great effect on your life, but they do not determine the outcome of your life.  You life from childhood to a point has been determined by forces beyond your control. But when you get to the ripe age of decision making, your life was handed over to you.  What happens from then is in your hands. You now have the power to decide the course of your life. ☑️ You did not receive the best of education. Yes! It is true. But what do you do? ☑️ You family is poor. Yes! It is true. HE IS A CULTURAL DANCER.

Image
HE IS A CULTURAL DANCER. Written By  Damilola Adeniya,  An Affiliate  He needed N70,000 for the treatment of his sick child. He decided to have a stage dance to raise the funds. He designed a flyer and started sharing it around his neighbourhood during the day and reharsing his dance routine in the night. His expectations were very high. Then the day came. The stage was set and it was time. To his dissapointment, it was ONLY a small teenage boy that showed up for the event. But he told himself, "I wont chicken out, I must dance and give my best."  Then he started dancing. He made sure he gave his best as rehearsed to the admiration of the boy. After the show, the boy left and the man went home sorrowful. Purpose defeated. Status quo remain the same. He was devastated and depressed... But something surprising happened the following morning. The only boy that showed up for the show was the son of a senator. He had always wanted to be a dancer and his father had a...

THEY CAN PRAY FOR YOU

Image
THEY CAN PRAY FOR YOU. Written By Orji Victor CP We are in a generation where a Pastor asking for prayers from his/her members is no more encouraged. Where a member, mentee, son, daughter, follower or younger person praying for his/her Papa, Mama, G. O, Mentor or Pastor is seen as lack of respect for the Oga or Madam. We are in a generation where if a member, a mentee, an assumed small Man or Woman of God prays for his/her Pastor, Mentor or assumed big Man or Woman of God, instead of the pastor/Mentor/Big Pastor to say Amen to that prayer, he/she will either ignore the prayer, say only thank you or reply it by praying for the member, expecting the member to say Amen. Hmmmmm Listen, > If Our Lord Jesus Christ can solicit for prayer from his disciples. > If the Apostles can solicit for prayer from their followers. > If Apostle Paul can solicit for prayers from his members. Why then, do we of this age see it as an error to receive good prayers from our members, junior or you...

Do You Have A Mentor?

Image
At every point in life you'd need to have someone that you look up to. Who is your mentor? Written By Joseph Adeleke And A Personal Development Coach Also Topic By Chibuzor Michael Onah  Someone you respect so much and would like to emulate. In My Twenties, What did I Use It for?

In My Twenties, What did I Use It for?  Written By Leon Ho,  Founder For  Lifehack  , Topic By Chibuzor Michael Onah  "I've wasted my twenties!" If you're in your early 30s, you might feel this way... or know someone who feels this way. But don't worry. It's normal to look back at your twenties and only see wasted potential. Plus, the early thirties can be scary. You see, the brain development ends, on average, when you're 30. For most people, it means maturity. We see the world from a different perspective in our early 30s. We're able to spot our mistakes more easily... Especially in hindsight. And that's why we often look at our 20s with disappointment. We know we could've done better. We know we could've achieved more in all areas of life... if we've only had all this experience back then. But we haven't. There's no time machine we can use to change our actions. The other reason why many 30-year-olds feel desperate and regr...

I Was Afraid Of Everything!

Image
Written By  Debbie Okorie, A Digital Skill Coach,   Youth Empowerment Strategist I Was Afraid Of Everything! I was afriad  to start. I was afraid to think because the same ideas will come back I was afraid to act because I don't want to fail. I was afraid to open up to people because they will judge and blame me. I was afraid to tell people the truth because they will never believe me! I was afraid to speak up as a young person because I will never be heard  I was afraid to take up responsibilities because I don't want to mess things up! I was afraid because I thought I wasn't smart enough! I thought I wasn't good enough! I thought those people doing it was better and smarter than I am,  I thought they never make mistakes,  I thought they all get it right the first time! All this and a lot more was all going through my head so I never start. I was afraid of that! I was afraid of this! You see; Fear is the greatest enemy of success. As a young person,...

You're Not The First...

Image
Written By  Apostle Lucky Oyem Ebenezer International Gospel Centre. Your achievement today was someone's achievement yesterday. Your future is someone's yesterday. There's nothing you will be today that others had not been. What ever your achievement in life, ministry, education, career, politics..etc you will not be the first, you will not be the last so calm down. You are not the first to own a car, you are not the first to build a house, you are not the first to bag a ph.d, you are not the first. Infact the beautiful ones have not yet been born. Calm down.
