In My Twenties, What did I Use It for?
In My Twenties, What did I Use It for?

"I've wasted my twenties!"
If you're in your early 30s, you might feel this way... or know someone who feels this way.
But don't worry.
It's normal to look back at your twenties and only see wasted potential.
Plus, the early thirties can be scary.
You see, the brain development ends, on average, when you're 30.
For most people, it means maturity.
We see the world from a different perspective in our early 30s.
We're able to spot our mistakes more easily...
Especially in hindsight.
And that's why we often look at our 20s with disappointment.
We know we could've done better.
We know we could've achieved more in all areas of life... if we've only had all this experience back then.
But we haven't.
There's no time machine we can use to change our actions.
The other reason why many 30-year-olds feel desperate and regretful is because of all the added responsibilities.
Many of us have become parents in our early 30s.
Those who didn't become parents are often focused on careers and chasing promotions.
In any case, life is harder at 30 than it was just a few years ago.
So we think to ourselves...
If I had worked harder or if I had a degree or if I had saved more...
It would be much easier now.
And, well, that's true.
But it's not the reason to be desperate about your future.
Actually, as a 30-year-old, you have two important advantages over many 20-year-olds.
First of all, you most likely have a better idea of what you want.
You're not confused.
You're not easily swayed by other people's opinions.
You have what I like to call Clear Intentions.
Second, you're aware of time.
More precisely, how time goes by whether you do something useful or not.
You feel a bit of regret about the past.
And a bit of fear about the future.
That fear and regret can motivate you much harder than positive emotions alone.
They are powerful.
If you can channel them properly, they will generate a very strong Inner Drive.
And here's the thing, Chibuzor...
If you have Clear Intentions and a strong Inner Drive, you can accomplish in one year what most people can't accomplish in a decade.
