HOW CAN SHE COMMIT SUICIDE!

Once, I heard of the story of a 17years old 100level young girl who wanted to commit suicide because she had no Boyfriend and iPhone. 

She had a phone. She had friends. Her phone was an Android, not an iPhone. Her Friends had boyfriends and she didn't have.

Social media...peer pressure.

Now, her friends had both iPhones and Boyfriends. They flaunted it all over social media...all at her face.

She wanted a boyfriend. A rich one. But none came through. She wanted an iPhone but there was no boyfriend to get it for her.

So she worried and cried until she was depressed.

One day she went to a shop and demanded to buy Sniper. The Shop attendant was curious to know why a sad-looking young girl like herself needed "Sniper". She feared a suicidal mission.

.. she was right. The young girl narrated her plight and the woman was left dumbfounded. She however motherly encouraged the girl...and turned down the request to sell the product.

My first reaction when I heard the story was,

If I were in the "seller's" position(a mother), I would have given the girl a very Dirty Slap to start with.

You know that kind of Taooma's slap. Yes...It would have landed right on her face.

So my friends went on to air their views. How they would never do that for anything in this life....at the end insults were made to the girl.

However, after I made the statement, I was quiet. I brooded over what has been said. And I realized that was irrational. 

Well, you can't blame me. A Yoruba adage translates; 

"When we scold a child with the right hand, we would bring the child closer with the left hand" (pardon my translation please)

that would have been the case for me tho.

I couldn't imagine how anybody would want to end their life over a dumb reason as that. 

Now The point;

Dear you, 

Listen to me attentively.

Nothing, I mean absolutely nothing is worth taking your life.

It's like you still don't get it, when you die, it is not over for you.

I know you have been told that; "It is over when you end your life". Lies!

This is me telling you that you have been deceived.

The pain after you end your life is greater than the one felt before the loss...and you know what the painful parts are?

 1.  Nobody there is family or friend.. Just a pack of pains.

 2.  What you died for will never in its life die for you. They will stay back while you are gone.

Who then is at loss? You!

Suicide is Never an option. Never! 

Say- NEVER!

Suicide is Never an option.

Say-NEVER!

Great.

You don't have what your friends have. Ehn ehn?

Do they have what you have?

Are you wondering what you have?

Allow me to tell you.

You, my friend, have the special kind of love no one has.

You have a charming future. 

Have you seen something charming before? Do you see the way it draws people's attention to itself?

That is the way your Destiny is. It is so charming it attracts people to it. Good and Bad people.

But the bad are seeking to destroy it. Now the question is; will you authorize them?

Will you give them the approval to destroy you while they stay alive?

..It starts with a thought. A thought that you are not good enough.

Listen to me, the next time you hear that, tell it Shut Up!

A very mean Shut Up!

The truth is; it is lying to you. It wants you to believe you are not good enough.

But lies are no Truth. They are deceitful.

Don't harbour them.

It is dangerous to allow a lie to sit in your heart.

If it does, it will build a mansion in there.

Now, what do you do when you sense a Lie in your mind?

Rebuke it! Rebuke is an English word that translates Denounce, Condemn..etc

When it tells you how bad you are, tell it how good you are.

How God said he made you in His image. How He made you just like Him.

If it tries to tell you to feel Jealous of other people because they have what you don't have.

Explain to the poor mind the things you have that money cannot buy. Tell it how you too will come into these things in a matter of time.

This is why you should do this exercise.

 1.  Write out all the things you have Like sisters, friends, family, intelligence, Beauty, Love etc 

 2.  Write out all the things you can do.

For instance 

I can skip about 300times at a goal

I can play football a little

I can help people do just about anything 

I can dance 

I can be very understanding...

These things makes me Unique. Everybody have theirs. Why should you focus on other persons' own while yours are there?

 3.  Write out the things you can't do

 For instance, 

I cannot sing

I cannot fight 

I cannot laugh with somebody I'm not happy with 

I cannot kill myself  and many others.

Are there persons that can do all these? Yes!! Can I do them? No! 

Does that make me a bad person?

Nope!

 4. Write out the things you love.

For instance, 

I love to help people

I love writing 

I love intelligent people

I love to have money

 5. Write out things you don't like.

 For instance, 

 I don't like rude people

I don't like fake friends and fake life

I don't like stress 

I don't like too much crowd 

Your list can be way longer than this. But do it.

Write out your Strengths and Weaknesses.

Focus on your strength and see how you can develop them.

In the same light, work to develop your weaknesses. However, do not pressure yourself. Take your time.

In all, Do what is Right. Know that material things are not worth it in exchange for your Destiny.

Don't get pressured by people that do that. You know better now.

Do not do anything because everyone is doing it.

Remember You are Unique. Unique people do things Differently. They stand out.
