VIRGINITY WILL STRANGLE YOUR BABY

 VIRGINITY WILL STRANGLE YOUR BABY

My eyes picked those terrible formulas inscribed on the left side of the note. I can't believe what I had less trouble writing, could cause me so much 'WAHALA' trying to memorize. I wished I could get a driving tool to sink those formulas into my sleepy brain. Although, I didn't feel cool with the sudden test and either test or exam is a trap to keep me on my toes but regardless, I'd pledged not to leave my bed that morning until my brain accept the fact that we've got to write that test.

.

"If you remain a virgin at 20, it'll be difficult to get pregnant or give birth because your womb will be too tight to carry a child. And after marriage, your husband alone won't be able to do the job, you'd need more men..."

.

.

What! I haven't heard that before. My roommates were engulfed in deep discussion on 'Virginity' and the principal speaker was this girl I never really liked. I often feel she's creepy and should be placed on surveillance.

.

.

She continued, "...And since you didn't have sex earlier enough, the bones around the womb will be too strong and could strangle the fetus. Haven't you heard babies get stuck in the womb because their mothers were virgins for a long time? We should open our legs and allow these guys to help us now, to avoid all these medical issues after marriage," She said, holding her ears for emphasis.

.

.

She claimed her elder sis had to deliver through C's and almost lost her life and that of the child because her baby got stuck in her tight womb and the bones around the womb almost strangled the child. Her friends, who were also my roommates insisted that doctors recommend sex before marriage to endeavor quick and safe delivery after nine months. They listed several occasions virginity had led to the death of their friends and loved ones.

.

.

I pushed my head to catch their bold faces when my eyes caught a gullible 100level girl, who had sniffed in all they had said. She looked homely, perplexed, and had clustered questions plastered on her confused face. How this little girl became friends with those girls, is what I can't explain. Anyway, Since the discussion doesn't concern me and I wasn't ready for any controversial issue, I buried my thoughts and stepped out to rest my tired ears.

People get into so much trouble due to misinformation. A lot of young people are involved in one vice or the other because of what they heard people say or what someone told them. I heard of a lady who committed suicide because someone said "As for me if I can't take it anymore I'll just kill myself."

.

.

You should understand that it takes the grace of God for you to get the right counsel from someone whose life has been messed up or polluted with errors. Being a virgin doesn't imply you'll attract all manner of evils after marriage. That's a lie from the pit of hell, coming from the devil himself. Don't accept everything you hear from 'outdoor girls/boys, they'd manipulate and lead you astray.

What do you do to avoid been misinformed

#Ask questions and learn from the right people.

#Read good books

#Study the Bible

#Pray and ask God for wisdom.

#Above all, have the fear of God, it'll keep you from all errors.

.

.

If you're a virgin and wish to keep it till marriage please do, virginity is a beautiful thing and if you're not, it's not a big deal, you can still keep yourself from henceforth. The Lord is kind and merciful, he will always support and strengthen you as you decide to make it right.

.

.

#Later the same day, I held a private meeting with the 100level girl to snuff out those errors that were sniffed into her. And yes, she's doing well.

.

.

Were you shocked when you saw the topic? Lol. The topic looked weird, yea I know. All that was to get your attention.

.

Thanks for reading through.
