IS YOUR ANGER JUST ANOTHER FEELING?

IS YOUR ANGER JUST ANOTHER FEELING?

Written By Wendy Ologe

Your success as a Parent has its root in your success at managing/controlling  your emotions. Until you get that right parenting continues to be a struggle.

I was live on my group  The Intentional Parent sometime last year  where  I spoke on "WHY YOU GET SO ANGRY AT YOUR CHILD"

you should watch that live class in the group.

Yes, anger is a feeling.

Its  an emotion of fighting and when we get angry we naturally seek to attack others.

At our last online course, a parent said

"Most times the beatings never get to solve that particular issue I was looking to correct. Somehow it resurfaces again. Yet I keep doing it the same way; My reaction to my emotion is my greatest enemy"

We all get angry the difference is how we react to the emotion "Anger".

How to use your emotions positively is a learnt skill. I shared a lot on this in my bestseller Connect to Correct... You should get a copy!

Come to think of it, most times it's not just the behaviour of the child that gets you angry. There is a thought round every behaviour, that's actually what infuriates  you.

Your child pushes your button yes!! but your child is  not the one that tells you how to react.

The truth is that most of us enter the parenting relationship wounded in some way from our childhood. The fear and rage of childhood are powerful and  can really be overwhelming as adults.

I was in a class where a text on  Adverse Childhood Experineces was administered and 80% of the persons in that class scored over 5points! This means these childhood  trauma affects you in the long run.

I am sure we don't want to raise our children traumatized...You will need to start your healing process.

You can learn to begin to overcome them.

We must understand that parental anger can be harmful to young children.

These are also not things you wish away, you must deliberately work on them.

At our upcoming , the "Healing From Childhood Hurt" how to heal from your hurt and pain so you don't pass it on to your Children.
