ENGAGING THE SUPERNATURAL

 ENGAGING THE SUPERNATURAL

.

There've been times when I came to crossroads and knew second to nothing to do to help myself with.

There've been times also, when I decided to just go about my endeavours without bringing God into the picture.

I have however seen through it all, that I do better at whatever I have need of doing whenever I invite God to help me (even though I have a perfect plan of my own).

There've been times when I prayed before writing in an examination, handed my papers into God's hands and went ahead to write as the Holy Spirit led me. When the results materialize, I's filled with joy.

Other times, I went ahead to write the exams with the knowledge I have on the subject in question, not involving God - or maybe forgetting to pray. And when such results came through, it was pitiful.

I remember when I sat for JAMB examination in 2019. I had not read enough because of one engagement or the other.

On the day I sat for my exams, I told God expressly that I knew nothing to write, that I needed help.

Mind you, I had read and gathered as much knowledge as I found necessary. But I had to beckon on God. The bible says all things belongs to Him - examination inclusive.

Not only did I write that exam with ease, but also finished in time. When the results were out, I was amazed. I knew it couldn't have been me. There was a supernatural power behind the curtain.

Let me tell you, dear friend, that when you pocket everything you claim to know and ask God for divine guidance, you amass better results unconsciously.

Sometimes we need to just look away from all the things we think we can do and allow God give us a hand. Not as if He craves having a hand in all you do, but it is a way of according honour to Him as your creator.

The kind of results we get when we do things by ourselves, through only our own knowledge, at our own expense, cannot and will never be compared with the result we get when we involve God wholesomely.

One of the days before ministration of praises in church, I had purposely asked God to play the keyboard all by Himself, insisting that I would only do the fingerings.

That day, I played the way I had never done before. Some other time I also purposely gave God the stage. It turned out amazing.

Ever since, I will always pray and tell God to take over.

The truth is, we have trivialized God. We have neglected the power of His presence. It is now more about our individual strengths and capabilities than it is about God receiving the glory. But it ought not so to be.

I had prayed throughout the night sometime ago. That was the first time I would rage in prayers that long. I tell you the truth, I enjoyed that fellowship.

After the prayers I felt the urge to go out for a morning cry. I felt reluctant at first but yielded in after much persuasion.

When I got to the point where I wanted to begin preaching, fear gripped me because I had not sound system.

I told God I needed help and He urged me to speak out first. The first thing I said echoed a thousand times in the air. That was how I preached without a megaphone that morning.

I couldn't have done it. It was God Himself.

Singer, pray before singing. Sing the heavens down and give God the glory.

Influencer, pray before that masterclass. Set the hearts of your students ablaze and let God be glorified.

Whoever you may be, whatever you may be doing, wherever be your field of practice, ENGAGE THE SUPERNATURAL, and give God the glory.

What we fight is neither flesh nor blood. We wrestle with principalities and powers in high places. It does not matter whether or not you're a Christian. All human wrestle with same forces of darkness.

Tell the Lord all you want to do. Commit your ways into His hands and He will perfect your steps.

Sometimes the things we go all ahead to do turn around to harm us.

But when such things go through God, they are perfected (thoroughly refined) for better results.

Have I said you should relax and have God run errands for you (even when you're clueless about what you claim to be doing?) No!

Before you involve God let it be that His business is to make things easier for you. Don't refuse to acquire necessary skills and education simply because there is a God who can do all things for you.

As much as He offers to help, He wants you to prosper in all spheres of life. He says "Be fruitful and multiply."

ENGAGE THE SUPERNATURAL, let God be glorified.

God bless you.
