Review Of The Year 2020

Like every other year, we all shouted happy new year as we entered 2020. We entered it with new mindsets, attitudes, expectations, and a lot of goals to smash down. Little did we know what the year had in store for us; it brought a lot of wonderful packages for all us.

As a student, I had planned and set my academic goals and ready to smash them all with the help of God. After all the new year celebration work and Schools resumed and we were all back to school. The struggle for accommodation and payment of tution fees began, it's not something new so I didn't really complain much but gave thanks to God almighty that I was able to secure accommodation because hostel accommodation was 'hot cake' in school.

Few months after resumption the fear of every Nigerian student surfaced...gen gen! You might be wondering what the fear is, it's not examinations oh; it is the 'almighty ASUU strike'. This is what students never wish to experience on campus because of this countless strikes a lot of students have spent many unnecessary years in school.

Well! The strike is not something we can control. The association went on two weeks warning strike so they said and right now it's nine months and counting. We were all hanging around school waiting for the two weeks to elapse little did we know uncle Corona don land Naija oh! (Ayemi temi bami!!).

While in school I heard the news of this strange disease known as Corona virus so tey e get nickname sef Covid -19- a virus that affects the respiratory system and can  spread through contact with someone that has been affected, to prevent it you have to wash your hands regularly or use sanitizer, use nose mask and maintain a distance from people. I never knew it was something serious until my dad sent me sanitizer in school.

As we dey wait for strike to finish na, we were told to pack our things and go home for one month as ordered by the federal government to prevent the virus from spreading further.
