You exchange value to get money. 

The rich know this, so they keep producing value every time and exchange it for money to those who need it. 

The poor are consumers! 

They hardly produce. 

The little penny they have is taken away from them because they need a product or service to consume. 

To make money and become rich, what you producing must outnumber what you consuming.
