Why Must People Quit On Their Resolution

Why Must People Quit On Their Resolution...

Writer From Leon Ho

Over 80% of people fail to achieve their new year's resolutions.

Yes, 80%.

It's usually the same process...

In January, they start working hard to achieve their goals.

They remain consistent for a couple of months.

Then, when problems arise and things start to get complicated, they quit.

After talking to several of my friends who had failed to achieve their resolutions, I started noticing a pattern.

They all had something in common.

It wasn't their resolution to begin with. It was somebody else's.

They decided to get promoted this year because somebody told them that's what they should be striving for.

They set themselves to buy a new house because their friends believed his current one was just too small.

Basically, they set their goals based on what society, their friends, and even their loved ones thought they should do.

Not on what they truly wanted...

All because they wanted the validation and approval of those around them.

What happened next?

They ended up quitting on their resolutions.

Feeling like a failure.

In the end, they ended up disappointing those who they wanted to please in the first place.

It wasn't their fault, though.

The passion they needed to succeed was just not there.

That inner drive to push through the challenges and problems life throws your way.

Without that, they just couldn't push through.

If you're going through the same, you might be wondering by now...

What's the solution to this?

What can I do to be passionate about my goals this year?

It's pretty simple.

All you have to do is make your resolutions about yourself, and not anyone else.

After all, life is too short.

Don't spend it trying to achieve what others expect from you.

If you want to set a goal truly unexpected, just go for it.

Want to switch careers and do something different with your life?

Make that your resolution for this year

Want to become fluent in Spanish and travel through Latin America?

Put all of your efforts into making that happen.

When you do that, you'll see your life change.

You'll be motivated every day to achieve your dreams and work hard to achieve your goals.

The desire to pursue your passion will give you the strength to go through the hard times and succeed.

All because you'll be working towards something you truly want.

Not your loved ones.

Not your teachers.

You.

And that will make all the difference.

So, if you think about your resolutions for this year and don't feel a burning desire to achieve them...

Maybe it's good to set new ones.

To change them and make them something you truly want to accomplish.

Also, a great way consistently work hard towards your resolutions is seeing them in front of you every day.

It just keeps you focused on what truly matters.

This is why I asked my team at Lifehack to make something really special to help you with this.

It's a New Year Resolutions Framed Poster.

You can personalize its design with the goals you set for yourself this 2021.
