My Advice For You 2021

My Advice For You 2021

I kept my promise.

Writer From John-Paul Iwuoha

For the last 9 days, I have shared specific tips that will help you win in 2021.

In this email, I'm going to share my most important piece of advice with you.

Please pay close attention.

You never know when this could help you in 2021.

-1-

⭐ Opportunity belongs to the prepared

This January, everybody is wishing for good opportunities in 2021.

Unfortunately, wishing for opportunities is like playing the lottery. To win, you have to depend too much on luck.

Most times, opportunity is not something you wish and wait for.

You have to go out there and take advantage of the opportunities that already exist.

That's why you need to invest in your knowledge and skills this year.

The more you know and can do, the better you can exploit opportunities to your advantage.

It doesn't matter if you're trying to start a new business, trying to raise funds, trying to grow and structure an existing business, or trying to turn around a failing business.

The more knowledge and skills you have, the more powerful you will become.

The people who will win in 2021 are those who are able to exploit opportunity, and not those who just wish and wait for opportunity.

And there are tons of places you can learn new things and build your skills: both online and offline.

Some are free, others are not.

For our members, I focus on business knowledge and entrepreneurship skills.

In 2017, I started with the Roadmap, my signature course for entrepreneurs who want to raise money to start or grow a business.

Since then, I have added more signature courses on selling, startup strategy, generating lucrative business ideas, building a quality team, developing business's systems and more.

I'm proud to see how our members are applying the knowledge and skills they have learned to get fantastic results.

And this year, I look forward to more success stories from our members.

⭐ Avoid deadly mistakes

Mistakes are good if you can learn from them.

But some mistakes are too deadly and totally unnecessary.

I've seen people waste their money, passion, and time on a business that never had the potential to succeed.

One piece of advice could have avoided this expensive mistake.

I've seen entrepreneurs waste fantastic opportunities to raise money because they didn't have the right strategy.

This misfortune could have been avoided if only they asked for help and guidance.

I've seen people struggle to find customers and make sales even though their product is better and far superior than the competition.

Sometimes, you are just too close to your situation to see the gaps.

That's why an expert guide can help.

In 2021, you need to avoid unnecessary mistakes that could be hard to recover from.

Find a person whose experience and insights can save you from trouble.

Get yourself a good mentor, coach, advisor, or trusted guide.

And it doesn't have to be me.

But if you would like to belong to the private group of entrepreneurs I exclusively work with, I would be glad to have you on board.

More details are provided below.

-3-

⭐ Join a group that challenges you.

You need people who will constantly push you and arouse you to keep working on your goals.

You need people who will challenge you with their progress.

When you see what others can do, you will naturally expect more from yourself.

Last year, our members hit some big milestones that had a positive impact on other members in our community.

Two brilliant tech products went live in 2020 -- Kuueza in Ghana, and Vorides in Cameroon.

Ann and Will got featured on CNN and announced their $600,000 funding round.

Collins finally got the lab results from Kuwait that certified his honey as high-grade.

Though he's based in faraway Norway, Joseph's business idea for a macadamia nut plantation finally went live in Zimbabwe.

Based in the USA, Jerome's laundry business idea transformed into a real business: Votre Pressing in Yaoundé.

2021 and the new decade belongs to people who act on their dreams, ideas, and plans.

Stop hanging around people who keep talking but never act.

⭐ Build a quality network

The people you know will determine how far you'll go.

These days, most people find the best opportunities through people they know.

It's how people find jobs, customers, employees, investors, distributors, suppliers, and more.

In 2021, you need to improve your network.

And remember, it's not about the number of people you know.

The power of a network is built on QUALITY, not quantity.

Try to become more visible this year. You can't build a quality network by hiding in your cocoon.

Find a way to help someone who you want in your network. Focus on giving (and not getting) and people will want to give you back.

People always notice value providers.

Within the Insiders community, I'm happy to see how some of our members are building their network.

I'm seeing members based in Africa build connections with other members within and outside the continent.

A quality network takes time to build, but its benefits can last for a very long time.

I look forward to helping more members make quality connections this year.

This year could be a turning point

January 2021 marks both the beginning of a new year and a new decade.

The decisions and choices you make now will create and shape your future.

I've already made mine.

Over the last 10 years, I've worked with dozens of entrepreneurs in several countries and industries to bring their dreams, ideas, and plans to life.

I am very excited about the next 10 years and look forward to all the success stories I will be part of.

I hope you will be one of them.
