All Because I limited Myself To Focus On One Single Task
It Was Just Impossible To Finish Everything...
Writer From Leon, CEO For Lifehack
Working from home is quite different than what most people think.
They believed all distractions would go away.
That they will finally have the time to get things done.
No more interruptions from co-workers.
No more meetings that took time away from them.
They would be able to be productive their entire workday!
With the COVID pandemic and everybody being sent home, they realized things don't work quite like that...
I learned that the hard way a few years ago...
Back then, I had just started working on my business full time.
I didn't have a team to take care of all the tasks that needed to be done.
It was just me, and there were a lot of tasks to take care of.
Every day, I would sit in front of my computer and start working on them.
Problem was, there were so many of them I couldn't stay focused on just one.
Instead, I would switch between tasks every time I could.
If there was a problem with something, I would stop what I was doing and switch my focus on that.
I was falling for a trap so many people working from home fall into.
Multitasking.
Without noticing it, this started to have some serious consequences in my business.
Although I was always "busy", I wasn't finishing anything.
Nothing that showed the hard work I was putting every day.
All because I couldn't make a choice and focus on a single thing.
So, I decided to switch things up.
Instead of working on several tasks at the same time...
I decided to limit my options and focus on just one thing.
Had a bunch of tasks calling for my attention?
I would choose the most urgent one, and wouldn't switch to another until the first one was finished.
Doing this allowed me to get things done in my business.
It was quite easy to focus, and I wasn't getting lost in the sea of options available anymore
All Because I limited Myself To Focus On One Single Task.
Do this next time you feel overwhelmed with the tasks in front of you.
It will make things so much easier.
