Do You Have This Bad Habit?
Do You Have This Bad Habit?
Leon CEO For Lifehack
You know, I'm an ideas person.
I'm always thinking about new ways to help more people and deliver more value to my business.
My mind just doesn't stay still.
Every time a new idea comes to my mind, I put it down on paper.
(Yes, call me old fashioned).
I got this habit of writing things down a while back, and haven't stopped ever since.
I got to a point where I had dozens of notepads filled with ideas.
There was a problem, though.
I was so busy during that time of my life I was taking zero action.
Nada.
The notepads just kept piling up.
When I finally decided to review all my notes, it was almost impossible.
There were so many ideas written, I just didn't know where to start.
My notepads were just too stressful to even watch.
Worst part was that nothing had changed in my business.
My life was the same.
That's when I had to face a harsh reality.
Ideas a worthless unless they're acted upon
There was no value in having an overfilled notepad full of ideas
What I needed was to take action.
I needed a plan.
And so I did.
Every time a new idea came to me, I would write it down as usual.
Later, I would decide what goal I wanted to achieve from this idea.
Then, I would reverse-engineer the steps to get there.
I made a discipline to always turn every idea into an actual project.
Truth is, this was the missing piece I was looking for.
Everything started falling into place.
Now, I was more motivated than ever.
All because I knew every step I gave was getting me closer to my ultimate goal.
That's the power of having a plan.
What was my plan like?
I called my plan The 3 Stage Ideas Process. You can learn all about it inside my Full Life Planner book.
It's perfect if you want to develop an idea process and turn inspiration into actionable projects.
