3 Things That High Achievers Do That Most  People Don't

Writer , Leon  From Lifehack

Have you ever wondered why people like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos are able to accomplish so much?

Do you want to know how you can also achieve greatness?

If so, I have good news for you. You can.

See, high achievers are not as different than you or me. That's not what sets them apart.

What makes them special is the way they live their lives and go after their goals.

Just think about Elon Musk and how he's revolutionizing Space travel with this company, SpaceX

Look at Steve Jobs and how he was able to get Apple up from the ashes and make it a billion dollar company.

But, how are they able to make things like that happen? What's so special about them?

Let's look at some of them.

They know what they want

High-achievers do not dream about "doing great things" one day. They do not switch from one goal to the other when something doesn't work out.

Instead, they have specific goals they want to achieve. They know what they want, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get it.

Let's think about Steve Jobs for example.

When Steve Jobs came back to Apple as their CEO, he had only one goal in mind: To make his company the tech leader it once was.

He was so determined to do this he was even able to ask Microsoft (his fiercest competitor) to help them.

They stay focused on their goals

If there's something high-achievers have is focus.

When they define what they want, all their actions are focused towards that very single thing. And they work relentlessly to get it.

Usually these goals are fairly big. Not paying enough attention to them would make them impossible to achieve.

Don't believe me? How does it sound to make mankind an interplanetary species?

Yes, you heard that right. That's Elon Musk's goal.

He says he plans to send 1 million people to Mars by 2050. And he works relentlessly to achieve it.

They don't quit

It doesn't matter how hard things get, high-achievers do not surrender until they have accomplished their goals.

Quitting is just not an option.

Instead, they stick to things, and make them happen. They keep on acting until they achieve what they want.

Most people don't know this, but Bill Gates failed at the first business he started.

It was called Traf-O-Data.

The company's goal was to read information from roadway traffic counters and create reports that helped traffic engineers.

Despite the failure of his first company, Bill Gates and his partner did not quit on technology.

Instead, they used what they learned to build their next company, Microsoft.

What makes them different

If we could talk about the #1 thing that makes high-achievers special is this.

They are action takers. They make things happen.

They don't wait until the perfect moment to achieve what they want.

They go and pursue their goals relentlessly, and they do not stop until they have achieved them.
