How You Inspire Others To Succeed
Hi Friend,
By – Carthage Buckley here,
⛎♑♏♑♏♑♏♑♒🔱🔱
Steve came to see me because he was feeling lost in his career.
He felt that he had outgrown his job and he knew it was time to move on.
He even knew what type of job he wanted and had a shortlist of companies he wanted to apply to.
However, even though he had the gun loaded and his sights fixed on the right target; he could not get himself to pull the trigger.
He simply lacked the confidence to follow through.
Like an actor with stage fright, Steve was waiting in the wings watching the show.
The problem was that the show he was watching was his life and he was only a spectator.
At the back of his mind was the fear that he was making the wrong choice; that he would end up somewhere worse than his current employer.
Over the next few weeks, we worked together to help Steve build his self-confidence.
Then, one day, Steve walked in and told me that he had sent an application to each of the companies on his list.
He had completed 3 applications per day, over 5 days.
He now felt committed to making the change and there was no turning back.
Three months after we first met, Steve had completed 4 interviews and received 2 job offers.
He chose the offer he wanted and handed in his notice at his current job.
Steve’s newfound confidence meant that he was much happier in his new job but, what happened next in his old company was even more amazing.
Most of Steve’s old co-workers had thought that he was a company guy who was there for life.
Though he had often spoken of leaving, nobody had ever thought that he would do it.
Once he had shown the confidence and courage, others followed suit.
Within 5 months, 7 of Steve’s former colleagues had left too.
Each had chosen to pursue something better for themselves.
That’s what confidence does.
Not only does it help you make your life better, but it also inspires others to make their lives better too.
Happiness and confidence are contagious; so, don’t hide!
Share yourself and your gifts with the world and be a beacon and inspiration for others too.
Because you deserve it and this world could do with all the inspiration it can get.
