Are You Ready To Change Your Life?

 Break Free With Purpose

By Leon From Lifehack Hi  Friends,
Are You Ready To Change Your Life?

To do so, it's important to break free from your limitations. And, to break free of your limitations, it's incredibly important to start with the right mindset.

The best way to achieve the right mindset is to develop a very strong sense of purpose. You've got to know what you're really after and always remember what you're working towards.

It's too easy to forget within the bustle of your day to day that focusing on your purpose can really help guide you to living the life you've always dreamed. My friend recently shared a short story with me that I feel really illustrates this point well.

It goes something like this.

Two friends who were walking together along a deserted path found themselves getting quite thirsty. Suddenly, they came across a clean pool of water, and they both took out their cups to draw from the pool.

One of them had a golden chalice, while the other only a humble clay mug. The person with the golden chalice felt luxurious, opulent and superior, while the other felt lower and impoverished by comparison. As they drank they were absorbed in their emotions, their temperaments changed, and their friendship seemed to sour on the walk home.

Through this drinking experience, they both forgot the most important thing: they were both actually after the water... and not the cup. Despite having completely different emotions, the were both drinking the same water. Prior to the comparison of one another, they were great friends, unaware of their differences, enjoying a walk together.

In life, we often pursue goals and end up going through many emotions when things don't happen as expected. Like the two people in the story, we may totally forget what we were after in the first place: the water. Oftentimes, we get focused on the packaging instead (the cup).

People can overcome great obstacles, and find opportunities, by staying on course with their purpose as the final destination.

All successful people have a goal. No one can get anywhere unless he knows where he wants to go and what he wants to be or do.

So take ten seconds to step back. Do you tend to focus on the water or the cup? Are you putting too much focus on something you're not really after? Let me know by shooting me an email.

Cheers!

Leon
