Run Without Shame
By Oluwole Oyewole
One of the problems I fought with myself when I was young was inferiority complex. I had this victim mentality that conditioned my thinking to believe that if I was born another way I would have become a better man. This inferior complex made me to accept things the way they were without working on myself and defining my own life.
It took me time to understand that individuals are meant to run their own race either with an advantage or a disadvantage in life.
The world we are living right now is a world where people appear before you everyday to prove that they have made it in life. It's a world where individuals are using the social media to show off their skills, gifts, talents and success. Either genuine or fake, it shouldn't become a burden to you.
One of the ways to escape this inferiority complex is to focus on your own lane. You don't have to be ashamed of your life, home or your business. Your business is your business. It's not about what others are doing it's about what you call your business.
You are not for everybody and everybody is not for you. Only you have the power to change your life by what you do around it. Don't be ashamed to talk about what you do. Because the way you embrace yourself is the way others will embrace you.
Don't be too concerned about the social media noises. For individuals are fighting for attention on this space. Forget about the news of your mates that are doing much more better than you. Sit down and work on yourself.
Beware of that thought that is wishing them bad because they have gone ahead of you. It is evil and it won't allow you to reach your highest peak in life. Wish everyone in your life well and embrace their progress.
Run your own race to avoid high blood pressure and disappointment. You are only in competition with yourself and not with anyone else. Don't wait for what will be to be. You have the right to make things happen and to exercise the authority God has given unto you.
When you do, you will live a happy and successful life.
