Reigning Through Righteousness

MESSAGE TOPIC: REIGNING THROUGH RIGHTEOUSNESS (3)

SERVICE OBJECTIVES:
1. Understanding the connection between righteousness and reigning in life
2. Understanding how righteousness facilitates reigning in life

Scripture makes it clear that righteousness establishes people on the throne both in time and in eternity
Righteousness enthrones (Isa. 32:1; Prov. 16:12)
It is abundantly clear in Scripture that righteousness is connected to reigning in life
Nothing enthrones like righteousness (Isa. 16:5; Prov. 25:5)
There is a throne for you in this life and in the life to come but it is righteousness that puts you on that throne
There is an inextricable connection between righteousness and rulership (Ps. 97:2)
If you supply righteousness God will supply rulership

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHO WERE ENTHRONED BY RIGHTEOUSNESS:
1. Joseph (Gen. 37:2, 39:6,9, 42:18, 41:39-44)
2. Queen Esther (Esth. 2:15; 4:16)
3. Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Dan. 1:4, 8; 3:14-18; 2:48-49)
Your level of righteousness will determine your level of rulership with God

HOW DOES RIGHTEOUSNESS ENTHRONE?
1. Righteousness attracts the favour of God and the favour of God is doorway to the throne (Ps. 5:12; Esth. 2:15, 17; Prov. 14:9; Acts 7:10; Prov. 16:7)
You can’t be upright and lack favour with God
Favour with God is access to the throne

2. Righteousness attracts the Oil on the life of a person and Oil empowers for the throne (Ps. 45:7; Eccl. 9:8; Lev. 21:12; 1Sam. 10:1; 16:13)
The love of righteousness will put the Oil on your head
You don’t need to beg for Oil if you are living right
If your garment is white, your head can never lack Oil
The Oil on the head of a man positions the crown on his head

3. Righteousness establishes people in the Presence of God and the Presence of God positions people on the throne (Ps. 24:3-5; 15:1-2; Gen. 39:2, 21; 1Sam. 18:28; 2Sam. 5:10)
The level of cleanness of life you maintain determines the level of Divine Presence you can maintain
Upright living keeps you in the Presence of God and the Presence of God positions you on the throne
When God is with you, He takes you to places of relevance and influence
It doesn’t matter who is not with you, if God is with you per time, your destiny and future is intact
Don’t struggle too much to know many people, just struggle to know God. When you know God, He will make the right people to know you.
In the same measure that righteousness enthrones, unrighteousness dethrones

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE  DETHRONED THROUGH UNRIGHTEOUSNESS:
1. Adam and Eve (Gen. 1:26-28; Ps. 8:3-9; Gen. 3:24)
2. Queen Vashti (Esth. 1:10-21)
3. Lucifer (Ezek. 28:11-15, 17; Isa. 14:12-15)
4. Judas Iscariot (Matt. 19:28; Luke 22:28-30; Matt. 26:24; Mark 14:21; Luke 22:22; Acts 1:16-20)

CONCLUSION:
1. Righteousness enthrones but beyond that, it gives stability to the throne (Prov. 16:12; 25:5; Heb. 1:8-9)
Righteousness doesn’t just give you a place in the throne, it secures your place for you
Nothing can be stable in unrighteousness
Things cannot work when people are not standing right
Nothing can be stable where people are ungodly
Nothing can be established in unrighteousness
The reason for the instability in African countries is because thrones are seated on unrighteousness
Unrighteousness brings instability and calamity
It doesn’t matter how many people are perpetrating evil where you are, hold on to righteousness

2. Unrighteousness dethrones, it denies a person access to the throne (Matt. 26:24-25)
Nothing can be stable where people are ungodly
Uphold righteousness and you will be enthroned by God

PRAYER
Father, thank You for Your Word to us this morning. To You be all the glory Lord, in Jesus’ Name
