Fire in the bed room, safe in the leaving room. (With Poor dad conversation and his exposed son to wealth)

fire in the bed room

Safe in the leaving room
           By Michael C.Onah
Awfully five year I’ve been stranded and seek help after my O’ level in   school. I’ve been forced and talked to too much my high institution like forever  my middle dad but I resisted his plane  in my life,  I don’t want to go high institution yet. I want to do business, I want to be like my second dad, I called him my wealthy dad. I don’t want to end up the same way he wants to. I want to retire rich, retire young. But in his case he’s about retire poor, retire old and soon the Government will pay him off pension, and in my eyes I call it stipend because soon he will use it for home stuffs and it finishes. Just like: light bills, water bills, taxes and not even we own a house it a rented one so we pay our rent fee when it due, in the same money. How could it sustain us a family? No solid foundation for finance or no financial base set up like my wealthy dad did and keep on doing it ,while money will be coming even when he’s retired. He could fast be watching TV, a catchy news station BBC every morning, In the afternoon he takes a walk with his stick to his mates same mentality to go play a primitive game called a draft and still half evening he  comes back home yawning that refuses to stop until he’s been fed with food. And then on he goes to sleep at his poverty foam. I can’t be like him, I swear! I don’t want to end up same way he wants to. I like my wealthy dad and his son Dura, I want to end up wealthy like them. But he keep pushing me go to school, you get a good job serve the Government and build your home, ringing in my ears like a faulty engine that refuses to stop. I’d kick his little ass if he doesn’t let me be or follow the foot step of my wealthy dad and son.

I’ll always tell him I’m not interested when he burst on me his killing plan on my pot. He will always go crazy my opposition and feel like tear me apart if possible but he can’t because I am his son. I thought as much, I’ll always summon courage to speak with him and ask him this lengthy questions of mine, listen readers or viewers.

‘What’s your qualification?’ I’ll always ask while he brings up the usual matter.

‘I’m a lecturer in math and a professor’, middle dad replied to me confidently as he thought perhaps he will wine me  his qualifications so it get in me by longing best.

‘Nice one’, I said and gestured pouring all my eyes on his eye glass.
‘Can you see me?’ I said.

‘Yes’, he replied.

‘Very well then’, I smiled briefly.

‘What’s your age?’

‘What… He widened eyed.

‘Tell me’.

‘What for?’

‘Not bad a son to ask for his father’s age.’ I menaced pretending well.

‘I’m fifty-nine, by December I clock sixty and January- first, I and your mum will be celebrating thirty in anniversary our marriage.’

‘Oh my goodness, I can’t wait till then dad. So how do you intend to celebrate? I asked, smiled on my face to him  connecting to know if he will let me be like my wealthy dad.

‘Hmm is just get together celebration’.

‘ You inviting your friends and well-wishers?’ I asked.

‘No.’

‘why?’

‘No much finance’. He replied me gazing  through the latest head-line news on punch. And now he has given me room to ask this hefty   questions.

‘You said you’re  fifty-nine by December; you’ll turned sixty, January first and you don’t even have much cash to celebrate with, so what hope do I have during my time to celebrate for when I join you in the field? Or don’t you think I’ll do mine?

‘Pension is there waiting for you’.

‘Pension…How much pension?’

‘It depends how loyal you’re walking with the Government system. I’ll always advice you to be nice, trust worthy to them so they settle you well also use it to take good care of your family when you have them soon.’ He said.

‘Is that all you have to say?’ I boiled up in anger a hundred degree Celsius.

‘Yes…look when you become like me your reputation, yourself- esteem will grow beyond you can imagine. So go to school and acquire good grade, half evening,’ he said and stab away with his walking stick.

My eyes couldn’t take off him while until he’s out of the eye shot. I was boiling…I couldn’t just cry because the tears wouldn’t come out even if I forced myself to.

The room my middle dad is into darkest, he just want me to end up like him ignorantly. I want to  come out from the bed room and to the leaving room. I want to be like my wealthy dad  and my friend, I want to end up in the leaving room there’re. Whatever it takes me I’ll make sure I come out from his shed
To me, what a pile of baloney. I’ll first build my business or set up a financial base where whiff of money will be coming from before I do otherwise like he’s been pestering me. It’s not how far that count in this journey of life but how better are you becoming even it’s by going to school to acquire all the certificates? Your certificate hell no, it by IQ.
I’ll show you men that drop out from school or didn’t go at all but that didn’t overwhelmed them of not becoming what they intend to be.
